Can I just say, September 29, 2018 is officially my favorite date of all time...
Every bride that I've spoken to has said that their proposal happened at the most unexpected moment and my fiancé did so good in keeping it all a secret. With the help of my mom, he hired a photographer/videographer to capture the moment ( Mabel Photographer ) and he carried the ring box in his socks !!! Who would have thought? Not me thats for sure. The engagement took place during our annual vacation. Every year we pick a new place to explore for 5-10 days and this year we chose Boston, New York and Philly. Only a few hours into arriving in New York we did two of my favorite things.... ate pizza and took a walk through Central Park!
Peep my ugly crying face! I always thought I wouldn't be a crier because I'm the person who laughs uncontrollably in awkward silences or when nervous but that definitely wasn't the case. I don't know if you can tell from the video but I was completely oblivious to the crowd of people behind us and photos being taken because I was searching on how to get up on the rocks across the water. When he dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him, I felt absolutely paralyzed.
As a vendor, being a part of a brides special day is the most surreal experience but now that I know I can officially relate to every moment of her process makes me even more passionate about what I do. I always like to start my bridal trials with how the bride and groom first met or how the proposal happened. Details like that make me relate to the bride on a personal level but when I got to live my moment I felt a flash of emotions from each of their stories. Theres no better way to give back to my brides then to make them relive their journey through me. For the next few months, I will be documenting my exciting process with all the tips I've been given by my lovely ladies.
& To my soon to be husband, the moment our paths crossed you've surprised me and challenged me in a way that I've never thought possible. I want to spoil you, encourage you, and love you infinitely. I can't wait to meet you down the aisle.
